Speed Skater is a wonderfully dense and very uniform True Black Huacaya male. He has a single grey spot on his rear left hip, so he may be able to throw grey. He was biopsied at 35 months of age with these stats: Density: 61.2 /mm Secondary:Primary fiber ratio: 11.1:1 In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 24.0 µ Standard Deviation: 2.7 µ Range: 19.3 µ to 29.0 µ In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter: 19.7 µ Standard Deviation: 2.3 µ Range: 14.4 µ to 28.4 µ Comments: The density number is good as is the S:P ratio but it is in the uniformity of the fiber populations and the low fiber population differential that are outstanding, especially for true black huacaya alpaca!
